Meet at Spud Wood car park on Stage Lane.  What3Words – oval.suiting.novel

We will be undertaking coppicing of the hazel in Spud Wood.  Wear clothes that can get dirty, bring a hot drink, gloves, wear boots/ stout footwear.  If you have tools - bow saw/ loppers - bring them but we have some and we will provide training

If you are interested in joining a task on a regular basis and haven’t been before please email us so you can register as a volunteer member of The Woodland Trust (free) so you are covered by their insurance

2024 Summer Fruit Tree Pruning Courses

In Oughtrington Community Orchard (behind Oughtrington Community Centre (WA13 9JD)

£10 per session (recommended donation)

Orchard Evenings 

Join us through the summer on a Thursday 7pm-9pm (daylight allowing) April-early September

We will plan some weekend events as well

Apple Juice for Sale

We have been working with Dunham Cider Press to press and pasteurise our own apple juice.

Special Lymm Festival Offer Oughtrington Community Orchard Apple Juice is £4 for a 750ml bottle (or you can buy it by the case of 12 for £46),  including local delivery within 3 miles.  The apple juice is pasteurised (i.e. will keep in a cupboard unopened for 2 years or keep in the fridge once opened) and has a best before date of Sept 2025.

The funds raised from the proceeds will pay for some much needed maintenance of our lawn mowers and go towards  the development of the wild flower meadows in Spud Wood.

Leaf Mould – No more leaves needed in 2023, thanks!

Every year we collect autumn leaves to make leaf mould. We don't need any more leaves for 2023 thanks.
